Hollow fiber modules have an advantage of removing bacteria and turbidity with low pressure. By combining with the activated carbon, it can form a wellbalanced household water purifier.

Hollow fiber is an ultrafiltration technology utilizing a membrane separation process that allows removal of suspended solids including particles, colloids, cysts, bacteria and viruses. UF membranes remove suspended solids based on pore size. Hollow fiber membranes are formed in hollow fibers and configured in modules containing multiple fibers.

The hollow fiber membrane traps very fine particulates, and permits accumulated material to be flushed away periodically. This eliminates frequent course prefilter changes and the flushing mechanism restores like-new filter operation and performance.

Hollow fiber ultrafiltration can be used for many applications requiring the removal of suspended solids including particles, colloids, cysts, bacteria and viruses.

Filtration

  • Over 99.999% bacteria (of >0.2 micrometers) removal
  • Definite removal of turbidity
  • Originally structured and specially treated to be hydrophilic
    • High water permeability
  • Small pressure loss
    • Effective from tap water pressure to gravity basis
  • High packing density of hollow fibers per unit volume
    • Very compact and long-lasting
  • No need of electricity
